How to celebrate Easter at home!

Easter is right around the corner, but unfortunately many of us will not be spending the holiday in the same fashion we are accustomed to.

While many of us have come to terms with this abrupt change in lifestyle, it will be tough not being able to enjoy the company of family, friends, and church communities as well as some Easter traditions.

Here are some ways to still celebrate the holiday while at home.

  1. If church is a part of your family’s Easter tradition, find a church that will be doing a live-stream of their Sunday morning service. If you don’t have a home church or yours is not doing a live-stream, feel free to join a live-stream for a service across the country! Also, take this day to wear something other than sweatpants. Wear a dress you have or support a local boutique online and buy something new.

  2. Cook your traditional Easter meal. While you may not have all of your family around, you can still eat like you do. This may require a call to loved ones asking for that secret recipe they’ve been adamant about not sharing. Hopefully, with the circumstances, they will make an exception.

  3. If you are used to spending the holiday with your extended family, invite them to join you virtually! You could plan a time to video chat with them and eat Easter lunch together.

  4. You and your family may be used to attending community-hosted Easter Egg hunts. This year, you can host your own Easter egg hunt around your yard or even within your home! Hide eggs in the dryer, under beds, in the bushes, wherever you like!

  5. Little ones will be happy to know that despite having to stay at home, the Easter bunny can still make his rounds! Our Easter Orange & Lavender Lotion Bar is the perfect item to throw in those baskets on Easter morning.

  6. It wouldn’t be Easter without some sort of afternoon crafting. Dye Easter eggs, print out and color free coloring pages, or paint spring flowers to decorate with around the house!

Although spending the holiday will be different from years past, we hope you can make the most out of these circumstances. Who knows! Maybe you will set new traditions you will want to continue for years to come! Happy Easter to all.
